Pencil sketch and first-session result. - I suck at shading so I left it up to the tattoo artist. Was going for a peeling skin affect, which Gail pulled off quite nicely. The meaning behind this tattoo is that I learned and grew a lot as a person while with Mike, and he has changed me in positive ways that no one else has. It coincides with TOOL's "Third Eye" motiff, and how I believe Michael has helped me attain that higher understanding.
First visit to see Gail at Dermatat in Sullivan, NH. Tattoo is approximately 11 hours old in photograph. Getting a touch up by Sarah from Twilight in Keene, NH. Sarah will add more shading, fix the detail in the pupil, and add the phrase "There's no love in fear" from Pushit by TOOL.

Very hot. Hopefully the touchup job will make the tattoo all the more powerful. All-in-all I was impressed, there's some great shading that I will photograph once it's healed. It definitely encompasses how I feel about this relationship, when all is said and done.
This is just a temporary deviation to follow up with the journal.
